Performance matters, so does the Planet's

The mountain calls us to hike it, ride it, ski it, board it, and it also asks us to be its caretakers. Sustainability is about as serious as we get. We see it as a responsibility, not a choice.

Together, let’s explore further and tread lighter.

  • Certified B Corporation

To become B Corp certified, we needed to prove our ethical and sustainable practices. From the way we treat our employees and give back, down to the supply chain and choice of materials.

In our rookie year we scored 107.8 overall points to become B Corp certified.

  • 100% Carbon Neutral

Over a decade ago, we became a Carbon Neutral company. Working closely with the Carbon Reduction Institute, we measure and offset emissions by investing in sustainable projects around the world. In 2023, we've saved 28,500 tonnes of Carbon with equivalent offsets.

  • Climate United Pact

We have pledged to reach net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2040 as a member of the Snow Industry led, Climate United Pact. To reach this goal we follow a year-on-year plan that has achievable actions to reach our goals.

  • Woolmark® Certified

Aussie Merino wool is a high-tech, high-performance fibre that's the best in the world. It's 100% natural, renewable, and biodegradable. We use ethically farmed Woolmark® certified Australian Merino wool across our range of thermals, socks, MerinoLite insulation and accessories.

Packaging and Supplies

Behind the scenes, we are making changes to keep us on track for our 2040 net zero goal.

By 2024, our packaging and warehouse supplies will be completely biodegradable, compostable, reusable or recyclable. No single-use plastics in sight, or on-site.

We've transitioned to:

  • Compostable mailing satchels that can return to nature after use
  • Recycled cardboard boxes for shipping
  • Biodegradable packing tape
  • Biodegradable pallet wrap
  • Recycled cardboard pallets

It’s often the things you don’t see that can make the biggest impact.

Self-Sufficient HQ

You are what you work in (well that’s what we say anyway). Our self-sufficient HQ is a reflection of XTM’s unwavering commitment to a planet-friendly future.

Our water is collected from the rain, our electricity is harnessed by the sun. Throughout the building, wherever you look, you’ll find recycled materials that act as a nod of approval to our smaller footprint search.

It’s these subtle details - the often unseen aspects - that our true values shine through.

  • Australian Merino Wool

100% natural, biodegradable and renewable. We use Woolmark Certfied Aussie Merino (the cream of the crop) to ensure healthy happy sheep.

  • Recycled Nylon

Breathing new life into post-consumer materials that were destined for landfill like plastic bottles, fishing nets and discarded clothes.

  • PFC-Free DWR

All our water-resistant gear is treated with a 100% PFC-free durable water resistant (DWR) coating. That means they're free from harmful chemicals that can escape into waterways and the environment.
